Many thanks to the Great Court of the Great Lord Rabbul Alamin that He has kindly sent us into the world as the best of creation ‘man’ without any request from us. And He said in the Holy Qur’an – ‘He created life and death for people to see who is best in deeds?’

Sending blessings on Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam – who is the best of creation and the greatest human being in the entire universe. On whom the great book Al-Qur’an was revealed for 23 long years. The book/book which is without doubt and a guide for the Muttakis. Although this part of the Quran is special, memorizing it correctly is obligatory for every Muslim as well as many rewards. The beloved Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said – ‘The best of you is the one who learns the Qur’an and teaches it to others.’

Al-Quran is taught to children in most cases in our subcontinent. However, due to various reasons including lack of practice, majority of Muslims cannot recite Al-Quran correctly. Due to busy work life and lack of facilities, he was unable to recite the pure Quran and embraced death. But if an old person also dies while trying to learn the Quran, he will get the status of ‘Talib Ilam’. In the hadith Sharif, the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, praises the knowledge of scholars and talibés and says:

Indeed, the angels spread their wings expressing their satisfaction with Talib’s knowledge. And everything in heaven and earth began to seek forgiveness for the scholar. Even underwater fish. (In another narration, the pus of the hole.) The status of the scholar is like the moon among the stars.’ -Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 21715; Jame’ Tirmidhi, Hadith 2682, 2685; Fathul Bari, Ibn Hajar 1/161
