Establish Prayer

In the light of Islam, the place of prayer is after Tawheed or Monotheism. There are 82 verses in the Holy Quran about prayer. Some notable verses are presented below:
‘Establish the prayer and give the alms. Whatever good deeds you send for yourselves, you will receive from Allah. Whatever you do, Allah sees it.’ (Surah Bakrah, verse: 110)

‘You seek help through patience and prayer. And indeed it is very difficult - except for the humble.’ (Surah Baqarah 45)

‘Establish the prayer, pay the alms and obey Allah and the Messenger. Allah is aware of what you do.’ (Surah Mujadallah, verse-13)

‘O you who believe! When you are called to prayer on the day of Friday, rush to the remembrance of Allah and abandon buying and selling. It is better for you – if you only knew.’ (Surah Jumu'a, verse 9)

‘I am Allah. There is no god but Me. So worship me and establish prayer in remembrance of me.’ (Surah Ta-ha, verse 14)

Hadith related to prayer: \n Narrated by Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA). He said, The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, What is your opinion, if one of you has a water canal at his door in which he bathes five times a day, can there be any dirt left on his body? They (companions) replied, There cannot be any dirt on his body. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, the example of the five daily prayers is like this. In return, Allah expiates his sins.’ (Sahih Bukhari: 528, Sahih Muslim: 667)

Narrated by Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA). He said, The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, five prayers, one Friday prayer followed by another Friday prayer, and the fasting of one Ramadan month followed by the fasting of another Ramadan month are expiation for the sins that occur in between; When the poets are saved from sin.’ (Sahih Muslim: 233)
